South Australia Health – Limestone Coast Local Health Network
the challenge
Limestone Coast Local Health Network was looking for a First Nations cultural learning provider that could deliver its level two cultural capability training as part of South Australia Health’s Aboriginal cultural learning framework. Before speaking to YarnnUp they were yet to find a provider that could provide the service they were looking for.
the solution
We would tailor a First Nations cultural capability training program that would meet the learning objectives of the South Australia Health’s Aboriginal cultural learning framework. This would be achieved by blending Aboriginal philosophy and cultural knowledge with western academia including neuroscience and cultural intelligence to provide capability building skillset to participants to engage with First Nations clients, patients and communities more effectively.
the outcome
An initial pilot to senior leadership was conducted in mid 2022 which had resounding feedback. On the back of this program we have now agreed to a multi-year partnership to deliver this training to all employees across the local health network with over 5000 staff.
